Welcome to our Reception Class  

Our class is called, Rowan. Welcome to Summer term! We have lots of exciting things planned! We are so excited to show you all the learning we get up to.

The Early Years Foundation Stage gives your child the opportunity to flourish and thrive in their own unique ways. We are here to support your child to achieve to their full potential, developing independent, happy and confident individuals. We are always willing to listen to any worries you or your child may have. Please always come to us and we will help in any way we can.

In Reception class we are Explorers.

As Explorers, we learn and discover through play.

Physical Education reminders

P.E kits are to be worn on a Monday (Dance) & Thursday (P.E).

Homework Reminders

On a Friday children will be given homework to be completed by the following Thursday. 

Our topic this term is Food Glorious Food! 

We cover all areas of learning through creative, real life experiences for the children to really immerse themselves into. We love getting hands on and exploring in Reception which makes each day fun and engaging. 

We will be having taste sessions of different foods, exploring where food comes from and even making art work from fruit! 

Our Talk for Writing topic is Jack and the Beanstalk. We will be learning the story to then eventually invent our own stories. We will be growing our own beanstalks, learning how plants grow and survive.
