What is the P.E. and Sports Premium?

The Government is continuing to provide additional funding (£150 million per annum) for this academic year 2024-2025 to improve the provision of Physical Education (P.E.) and sport in primary schools. This funding is provided jointly by the Department for Education (DfE), Heath & Culture and Media & Sport and is allocated to primary school headteachers. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on the provision of P.E. and sport in schools.
