Autumn 1-

Topic- Happy to be Me

Our Autumn Term focus is 'Happy to be Me'. We spend time building routines and rules in our classroom to keep us safe and happy. As we start exploring our topic we will start by learning about our bodies and everything we can do with them. It also includes talking about our families and what makes us different.

Take a look at our Knowledge Organiser below! This includes all the activities we will be getting up to this half term.

Talk for Writing- The Gingerbread Man

Each half term we explore a different book. We create a 'hook for learning' to grasp the children's attention. This half term Miss Buchanan brings a gingerbread man into school for her snack... but he goes missing!

We will ask the children how we can solve the problem, we will make missing posters and interview people we think may know what happened. By the end of the half term, they will create their own story based upon the Gingerbread Man story.
