YEAR 4
A very warm and smiley welcome to Year 4!
It's wonderful to be back in school and very exciting to see a room full of fresh faces ready to learn!
We have lots of learning to get through this year, the following information may help with that.

PE Kits:
Please remember your PE kits, to join in properly children need to be in the correct PE kit.
Children need to have: a white PE top, black shorts and black pumps.
Trainers are only allowed for outdoor PE, children will need to wear pumps of bare feet indoors.
Dance is on Monday
PE is on Wednesday
Homework:
On Thursday you will be given homework, it should be returned to school by Tuesday.
Spellings will be given out on a Monday, you should aim to read and learn your spellings daily.
You will have a weekly spelling quiz on a Monday.
Our learning:
Our topic this term is:
'Vikings and Anglo Saxons '.
As historians we will be studying life in the Anglo Saxon and Vikings times/
We will continue to develop a chronologically secure knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history,
As geographers we will be studying Britain during the reign of the Anglo Saxons then the invasion of the Vikings
As artists we will be developing our printing and sculpting by studying the Bayeaux Tapestry
As musicians we will be studying : Viking Rock Song Sheets and developing Viking music.
