In Reception children have continuous access to the outdoors. We would be grateful if your child could have a waterproof coat and some wellies in school at all times.
PE kits can be left in school and will be sent home every half term to be washed.
Thank you to those who have already paid snack money. A contribution of £1 per week is welcomed.
Partnership with parents
In Reception we value your contribution to your child's learning. We would love to hear about all of your children's achievements outside of school, from getting a medal at football to learning to ride their bike! Use our WOW vouchers and send them in with your child, we will celebrate their WOW and display it on our WOW wall for all to see!
If there is anything you need to discuss with a member of the Reception Team we will be available before and after school. Please do not hesitate to speak to us.
Homework will be sent on a Friday, please return it to school by the following Wednesday.
Please read regularly with your children at home. This will help their confidence and their progress in school. Books will be changed once a week, please ensure reading books are in school everyday.
This will be another exciting and busy half term in Reception. We will be learning all bout people who help us and what they do. If you would like to come in to class and tell us all about your job please let a member of staff know. I'm sure the children will have lots of questions! We will be growing seeds and watching them and observing them as they grow. And we have our class assembly before half term.
We read the story Whatever Next. We decided that just like baby bear we too would like to go the moon! We planned what we would needed to take and we wrote an invitation to our teddy. The day we went to the moon we made our own moon picnic! We got in our rocket counted down and shot off into space! We had a brilliant time!
