Today, 8 children from Year 5 took part in an inter school chess competition at Netherton Moss Primary School.
Kings Meadow were one of six teams in the competition who have been coached this year by Chess in Schools.
The children each played five games, and for every victory, 1 point was earned.
At the end of the competition, the points were added up and Kings Meadow were crowned champions!
A fantastic effort by the children who have worked so hard this year to improve their chess skills.
A big thank you to Bob and John who have been fantastic coaches for Year 5 this year!
