Early January we put in place a lunch time club for both years 3 and 4. The club aimed to help improve the children’s fundamentals as well as hand eye co-ordination through various sports and games. First we started off with throwing and catching, we played different games such as; dodgeball, bench ball, handball and netball. Each game challenged the participants sporting ability in different ways; hand eye coordination, decision making, team work and striving to be the best they can. In march we introduced this club to year 6s to train them up as sports leaders. In groups of 4 the year 6’s had the opportunity to plan, deliver and evaluate their sessions. Each group would deliver 4 sessions in total giving each person a chance at the leading role.
