Stockport Air Raid Shelters WW2 Trip

As part of Year 5's Autumn term topic, World War 2, they went back in time to 1939 and experienced what it was like to live during the war. They visited the tunnels that were used as public air raid shelters, sang songs to keep their morale up, experienced a true black out and checked out all the facilities they had to offer! They then learnt about rationing, make do and mend, experienced jobs an evacuee would do around the house, and saw a bomb from the war!
