Charging Policy
At Kings Meadow we offer a wide and varied programme of visits and trips for the children in order to enrich our Creative Curriculum. Voluntary contributions are requested towards their cost and towards the cost of ingredients used in cookery lessons.
Pupils will not be excluded from any activity or trip on the basis of cost however, these activities can only take place if there is sufficient voluntary funding. In the event of a trip or activity being cancelled, those parents who have made a contribution will be reimbursed.
Every effort is made at all times to keep charges to a minimum and the school subsidises the cost as far as possible.
Complaints
Kings Meadow aims to provide a relationship with parents that supports their children and meets their needs. We are open and clear in demonstrating what the school offers, how it operates and the expectations upon all of those involved in providing an education for the children. However, we also understand that sometimes things can go wrong. If they do, we need to know so we can put them right and learn from them.
We aim to be positive, always deal promptly and courteously with any complaint. The complainant will be given due respect and consideration and we expect the same in return.
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of school life, please contact school by telephone or write to the Headteacher to discuss your concern. There is a published complaints procedure available and it has been designed to allow you to resolve any concern or problem you may have regarding your issue.
Behaviour Policy & Rewards
At Kings Meadow our policy is always to emphasise the positive aspects of school life and to reward all the good that goes on. Our children are consistently praised on their high standards of behaviour both inside and outside school. We also have a Behaviour Policy which is implemented throughout the school. We have positive expectations about how everyone should behave, both adults and children alike and this is embraced within our ethos of trust and mutual respect.
Most Fridays we hold a Celebration Assembly where children can share good work and our "Stars of the Week" are presented. These assemblies are a family friendly event where family and friends can come along to share in the celebration.
Parents/Carers in Partnership
At Kings Meadow we firmly believe that working in partnership with our parents has a very positive impact upon their children's learning. We provide opportunities for parents/carers to participate in a wide variety of courses, workshops and training opportunities. Not only do these enhance their own skills but also help to enrich the home learning environment.
We also have our own Parent Support Adviser in school to support our parents/carers across a wide range of issues.
