This afternoon, Year 5 revisited Kings Gardens for a Bridge Building Workshop. The children learnt about the Venetian Bridge restoration before having a go at building their own bridges out of marshmallows and cocktail stick! The challenge was to make sure their bridge could support an object for 10 seconds! Let's just say some bridges were more successful than others! All children did, however, succeed in managing to avoid the temptation of eating the marshmallows!
After the bridge building exercise children had another tour of the gardens to see what has being going on since our visit in September. The children are so excited by the amazing new playground and can't wait to have a go when it opens in Spring!
